About
I’m Carolina Jimenez, a Technical Director and creative technologist with a unique background in both computer science and motion pictures. My work bridges storytelling and technology—building tools and pipelines that help artists bring worlds to life on screen.
At Lucasfilm, I develop Python-based web tools that support story artists in creating 3D storyboards for Disney+ series like The Bad Batch, Tales of the Empire, Tales of the Underworld, and Maul: Shadowlord. Previously, at Scanline VFX, I worked with volumetric capture and data wrangling on blockbuster films including Black Adam, The Flash, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Beyond visual effects, I’ve worked across editing, motion graphics, and software development—from supervising film edits at Grumpy Banana Productions, to creating ad content with Surge Digital Media, to building and testing applications at Lifewallet.
I’m fluent in tools like Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, Blender, and the Adobe Creative Suite, and I code in Python, C++, Java, C#, and Swift. My foundation in both film and computer science, combined with specialized training in VFX and AI, lets me tackle projects from multiple angles—technical, creative, and strategic.
